While finding a great spf moisturizer is amazing, many (if not most) kinds contain ingredients that pose a serious threat to marine life. Many popular Korean sunscreen brands contain nano particles which coat corals in white film and eventually smother them. Being able to see whether an spf is reef safe would be helpful for those of us who are already aware of this, and a warning when it’s harmful to marine life could encourage others to choose a different kind to bring on vacation.
